Article: EASD proposed tax hike may shrink by 20%; State funding will determine amount of increase

The proposed tax hike for property owners in Ephrata Area School District may be cut by at least 20 percent, according to Roger Brubaker, the district's business manager.

At the school board's work session Monday evening, a poll of the board revealed that members were most likely to support a tax increase of only .8 mills, down from the originally proposed tax hike of 1 mill.
