The fourth-largest shopping center in the county will not go up in
the southern end without a fight.
Some Drumore Township residents are angry that an out-of-town
developer wants to build a 370,000-square-foot retail center --
likely anchored by a Wal-Mart store -- in their backyard.
They say the plan would destroy the rural area, causing traffic
congestion, crime and the construction of new houses.
They are concerned about safety, water availability, sewage
pollution and 24-hour store noise and lighting. They also fear the
center will force small local stores out of business.
