Article: Plan debated for Lititz Elementary School

Plans to raze and rebuild Lititz Elementary School should be abandoned, a resident told members of Warwick school board July 15.

Gerard Link, a resident and former member of the school district's building and property committee, said the site is too small, and traffic conditions in Lititz Borough raise concerns about safety for school children. He encouraged the board to look for a new site for an elementary school.

Superintendent Stephen Iovino said the district held meetings and heard strong public support for retaining an elementary school in the borough. Also, he said Warwick's site selection committee would continue to look at all options for a possible fifth elementary
