La Leche League of Eastern Pennsylvania will hold a parenting
conference Friday, Nov. 14, to Sunday, Nov. 16, at Eden Resort Inn
and Conference Center, 222 Eden Road.
"Connections Through Breastfeeding" is the theme for the
conference. Featured guest speaker will be Dr. Katherine Dettwyler,
adjunct professor of anthropology and nutrition at Texas A&M
University. She is the author of "Dancing Skeletons: Life and Death
in West Africa," which recounts her work on child health in Mali.
Other speakers include Edwina Froehlich, co-founder of La Leche
League International and co-author of "The Womanly Art of
Breastfeeding''; Pam Freedman, regional administrator for LLLI
Eastern U.S. Division; and ...
