Twenty-eight-year-old Jeff Habecker admits the transition from
baseball uniform and cleats to sequined vest and dancing shoes was
difficult.
But after three years of touring with Re-Creation, a Pennsylvania-
based musical performance group, Habecker has become a seasoned song-
and-dance man.
Habecker, a graduate of Hempfield High School and Millersville
University, played second base for Hempfield and was named to the
1993 Lancaster-Lebanon League all-star baseball team as a designated
hitter. He earned a degree in public relations from Millersville in
1998.
Habecker auditioned in June 1999 for Re-Creation, a volunteer
group which performs colorful, upbeat musical programs for patients
