The Manheim Central Recreation Commission has created a "snow
globe" to commemorate the Manheim Central Barons' snowy state PIAA
football championship victory in December.
The limited-edition, 4-inch glass globe features a wooden base
with brass plaque. The scene captured in the globe is Manheim
Central's Elden Rettew Field, the home of Baron football.
Andy Rohrer, executive director of the Manheim Central Recreation
Commission, said the scoreboard reflects the final details of the
game - it was in the sixth quarter, the ball was on the 30-yard line
and the final score was 39-38.
