Article: Mill Road students show spirit in mural

A new work of art is now on display at Mill Road Elementary School in Elizabethtown, and it's expected to remain there at least a dozen years.

Several weeks ago, students at Mill Road Elementary spent two full days and some 10 hours painting the large-scale mural, which was placed on the exterior of the school on Saturday.

The mural was painted on specially treated heavy-duty vinyl canvas with oil-based enamel paints. That's so the students' artwork will stand the test of time.

"It should last a long time, and it won't fade or be affected by the weather," said the students' art teacher, Kevin Goss, who helped supervise the project.
