A 7-year-old girl, who moved to Florida in June to live with a
mother she barely knew, came home to Poolesville yesterday to be
buried.
Nearly three months ago, Christina Holt allegedly was slain by
her stepfather as her mother watched. Her slight body was wrapped in
sheets and kept in a closet for days, then hidden in the earth
behind a Kmart store.
Christina was given a proper funeral at last, but her wish for
a united family remained strikingly unfulfilled.
Her mother, Pauline Zile, charged with murder, was forbidden by
a Florida judge to travel to the funeral. Her stepfather also
