Three years after coming to Lancaster, the so-called Lost Boys
from Sudan are reclaiming a piece of their past.
Not permitted to return to Sudan because of their refugee status,
the young men have continued to speak Dinka, the language of their
childhood.
In February, the 18 Lost Boys living in Lancaster decided to re-
establish morning prayer services they had participated in when in
refugee camps in Kenya.
Led by Simon Biel, who was trained at the African Christian
Mission in Kenya, the young men meet in the chapel at Lancaster
Church of the Brethren for the service monthly.
The church sponsored six of the Lost Boys when they arrived in
2001.
