Article: Willow Valley now planning smaller medical building

Willow Valley Retirement Communities is proposing a scaled-back version of a medical building that West Lampeter Township approved four years ago.

Supervisors tonight will consider a plan for a four-story health center with 126 beds at the Willow Street retirement community's newest development, Spring Run.

That's down from a planned five-story medical facility with 160 beds that supervisors approved in 2000.

Willow Valley also wants to lower the number of total parking spaces in Spring Run from 914 to 790.

"The modifications are relatively minor in the context of the overall project,'' John G. Swanson, president of Willow Valley Retirement Management, Inc., said in a press release.
