Funds from new 'Blended to Perfection' cookbook will benefit the
community's libraries.
She married a beef man, and her son raises Black Angus cattle, but
seafood is in Jean Stahl's blood.
Stahl, a resident of Willow Valley Retirement Community, grew up
bayside on a four-generation farm in St. Mary's County, Md.
"We could go right out on the pier and push nets through the water
and get crabs," said the 69-year-old. "We even trained our Chesapeake
Bay retrievers to catch crabs."
It's no surprise that Stahl submitted a recipe for Maryland
Imperial Crab for inclusion in "Blended to Perfection," a new
cookbook benefiting Willow Valley Retirement Community's libraries.
