No one shouted "Westward, ho, ho, ho" at the Alden Theatre in
McLean Saturday night, but the charge would have been apt given all
the Christmas merriment stirred up by Riders in the Sky.
Of course, Ranger Doug, Woody Paul and Too Slim are old hands
at this sort of thing. But with the addition of Joey, "the cow polka
king," who plays accordion - or as Ranger Doug put it, the "stomach
Steinway" - and the infusion of plenty of new, yuletide cheer, the
singing cowboys were riding high in the saddle all night long. Or at
