The calendar may say it's Easter, but for the faithful football
fans in Lancaster County, it was almost like the Super Bowl on
Saturday.
Philadelphia Eagles tight end L.J. Smith was this year's guest at
the 26th annual Sports Card and Auction show in Ephrata.
The show, which is sponsored by the Ephrata Lions club and
benefits the Ephrata Area Youth and Baseball program and the Ephrata
Recreation Center, is a huge draw for area sports fans, and Smith
didn't disappoint.
Smith, who caught the first touchdown at the Eagles' Super Bowl
loss to the New England Patriots, talked about everything from what
is was like catching the pass to playing alongside Freddie Mitchell.
