Columbia Borough should know what its new sidewalk improvements
will look like by the end of April and is currently putting together
plans for a possible public unveiling in mid-May.
"Right now our Philadelphia-area landscape design firm (Larry
Weaner & Associates) is talking to residents, gathering ideas and
putting together a plan," Mayor Leo Lutz said Monday. "Once they have
the drawings submitted, council will unveil the plans and then take a
vote to decide what happens."
Lutz said landscape architects are working with a design that
would honor Route 30, the nation's first coast-to-coast highway.
