Neal Vital, who has made his mark on local bowling for the last
four decades, was inducted this year into the Lancaster Bowling
Association Hall of Fame. The southpaw's bowling future was forecast
at age 12 when his late father, Tony, made a prediction. "During that
stretch of low self-confidence in the sport, my late father told me
not to worry, because someday I'd be as good as my brothers, Chris
and Rob," Vital said. Vital, who lives in East Lampeter Township,
said his father's words "kept him going." And this year, he joined
his two brothers in the LBA Hall of Fame. "This validated his
prediction, and I still thank him for that," Vital said. In April,
