Article: Trooper discusses Brecknock Twp. state police coverage

In the wake of its controversial move to disband Brecknock Township's police department, the Brecknock board of supervisors has called on the assistance of the state police to explain current police coverage issues to residents.

The board of supervisors approved a resolution to disband the local force at its March 14 meeting. Residents have expressed their disappointment at consecutive meetings, saying they should have been informed of the board's decision.

At the board's April meeting, residents asked questions about the response times for state police calls and what kinds of legal violations the state police will enforce.
