Over 40 teams ran the bases for children who receive services at
Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center during the 24th Annual Softball
Weekend. The event raised more than $50,000 for children with
disabilities who are treated at the Schreiber Center.
Teams played at Froelich Park in Mountville and at Lancaster
County Central Park. The 48-hour Softball Weekend event was held
around the clock from 6 p.m. on Friday, June 2 until 6 p.m. on
Sunday, June 3.
Schreiber Center Ambassadors visited the ballparks throughout the
weekend to cheer on the participating teams. A group of dedicated
volunteers from the Fraternal Order of Police - Red Rose Lodge No. 16
