us from Boy Scout Troop 58, Willow Street, which is celebrating its
65th anniversary this year.
Mildred wrote:
"Because of gas rationing during the summer of 1942, it was easier
for Troop 58 to go to council camporee at Hostetters Nursery (now
Vallorbs Jewel Co.) along the Philadelphia Pike via horse and wagon.
"In the picture, driving, is a Willow Street farmer, Ferry Frey.
Others, from left to right, are Robert L. Martin, Robert Kreider,
Clair Martin, Glenn Mellott, James Harsh, Leroy Frey, Jack McFalls
and Ralph Shell. They were selected to form the Silver Fox Patrol for ...
