What is this thing we call Holy Week? What is the history of the
annual celebration that happens in many churches leading up to
Easter? When did Christians begin to annually observe them as we do?
And, what is the significance of our observances today? What does
this weekly observance mean for Christians today?
Holy Week is the last week of the 40-day season of Lent and
commemorates the events of our Lord's last week before his death. In
Holy Week we focus and remember His passion and resurrection.
The chief festivals of Holy Week are Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday,
