Recent letters have questioned our school district's plan to
complete the stage renovation as part of the current construction.
First, the new stage was never "eliminated" from the high school
project, only postponed to meet rigid budget constraints. The board
clearly stated a year ago that we would pursue all options to
complete the stage renovation at a later time.
Second, the stage and auditorium serve important curricular and co-
curricular functions, with 18 education-related performances
scheduled for this year, some of which bring revenue to the district.
