Mike Kemp doesn't necessarily consider himself a home run hitter.

But others who have seen him play believe that Kemp has serious potential.

The Manheim Central junior would certainly like to tap into that potential this winter when he competes in the Power Showcase High School Home Run Derby National Finals. It will be held at the Tampa Bay Devil Rays' Tropicana Field in Tampa, Fla. on Jan. 5, 2008.

"I saw him at batting practice and he was hitting moon rockets into the construction site," said Marc Shoenfelt, founder of B2B Baseball. "He's going to play at the next level."
