WHO'S COOKING?
Shirley M. Daniels, community relations manager for the Borough of
Ephrata, has a busy schedule, so she cooks mainly on weekends,
holidays and for special events.
And while her culinary specialties include dishes such as lasagne,
"special" mashed potatoes, cream cheese-and-pumpkin pie, and amaretto
peach cheesecake, the one that elicits the most requests for family
gatherings is her Glazed Ham Balls.
Daniels, a self-described "young 60," said the ham balls are one
of her daughter's holiday favorites. In fact, a roast-turkey dinner
isn't complete without a side offering of the ham balls, which, she
noted, are very moist and make wonderful leftovers.
