Just when her career promised to take off with the release last
March of her second album, Stoughton's Lori McKenna began planning to
take a break. It wasn't oddball planning, or even exactly voluntary,
because McKenna had learned she was pregnant.
Now, as that acclaimed sophomore disc, "Pieces of Me," has been
picked up and re-released nationally, McKenna's daughter Meghan is
five months old and the folksinger can once again undertake a regular
performance schedule. McKenna will appear Saturday night at the
Stoughton High School Auditorium in a benefit show for the
Connections program, along with the local South Shore duo Pahud &
Kissinger.
