BROCKTON - A loss in last year's Super Bowl has been on the minds
of the South Shore Votech football team for the last 12 months. In a
rematch yesterday against Charlestown, South Shore got its revenge,
shutting out the Townies and winning the Eastern Mass. Division 7
championship, 34-0. Standing at midfield on Brockton High School's
Marciano Stadium, the Vikings hoisted the trophy over their heads,
celebrating an 8-4 championship season. In the middle of that pack
was senior running back Tim Boyd, who accounted for 22 of his team's
points yesterday.
