WILMINGTON - This is the sort of time that has often tried Mike
Knuble's soul. His hockey team's in a slump, and injured players are
returning to its lineup. In Detroit with the Red Wings, in New York
with the Rangers, and for much of the time he has played in Boston as
a Bruin, that combination has usually meant Knuble was either about
to see his ice time slashed, or that he wasn't going to play at all.
Knuble took his share of uncertainty up to Buffalo for tonight's game
against the Sabres, but it was of a different, and better, type: If
Sergei Samsonov slides back to his usual home at left wing on
Boston's top line, Knuble will move to right wing on Boston's No. 2 ...
