Two undercover agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and
Firearms attending a worship service with cult leader David Koresh
heard him receive a Sunday morning telephone call that apparently
warned him of an impending federal raid on his compound called Ranch
Apocalypse.
But Koresh apparently said nothing to indicate he knew that dozens
of agents, some hidden in cattle trucks, were approaching the
property for a long-planned raid, according to law enforcement
sources.
After Koresh concluded his Bible readings, the undercover agents
left the service and gave the go-ahead for others to approach,
botching an ATF investigation that ended in one of the deadliest days
in law enforcement ...
