The South Shore is being tossed by the same economic currents as the rest of the country: uncertainty about the aftermath of the war in Iraq, continuing sluggishness in economic activity, escalating health care costs, and dropping state and federal tax revenues. Fortunately, the South Shore is also well positioned to ride out these storms and to emerge strongly.
