Article: Selectmen debate alternative budget plan for town meeting

A week before town meeting resumes, the selectmen in Randolph are weighing four proposals for balancing the town's budget submitted by the board and Executive Secretary Paul Connors.

All of the plans offer some variation on across-the-board spending cuts in departmental budgets, with most offering some adjustments by priority. Two of the plans would result in surpluses of a few thousand dollars, while the others would be balanced if the town receives additional revenue.
