Nearly 45 percent of the U.S. population is born with brown eyes,
according to the American Optometric Association, but they aren't
necessarily staying that way. Today, changing the hue of the eyes you
were born with is a common occurrence, even for people who don't need
their vision corrected. Witness Madonna's bright blue eyes in the
movie "Dick Tracy" and Meryl Streep's in "Death Becomes Her." Singer
Grace Jones sports jade-green lenses. Fashion designer Carolyne Roehm
alternates tints to match her outfits, while model Naomi Campbell
chooses a soft caramel. But while the best-known users are female
entertainers, more than 35 percent of non-corrective lens wears are
