HANOVER
Trader Joe's is finally dropping anchor on the South Shore. The
organic and gourmet food grocery chain will open its first local
store this fall next to the Hanover Mall.
"Just imagine all the foods that are fun to eat under one roof in
a 7,000- to 10,000-square-foot store," Phil Lempert, a Santa Monica,
Calif.-based supermarket consultant, said. "It's not gourmet foods.
It's not healthy foods. It's a combination of all those things."
Monrovia, Calif.-based Trader Joe's is the latest arrival that's
spicing up the region's once-homogeneous grocery options. Three Asian
supermarkets have opened in Quincy this year, and a Whole Foods
