Article: Plimoth Plantation director will leave at year's end

PLYMOUTH - Plimoth Plantation Executive Director Nancy Brennan announced yesterday that this is her last year at the museum.

Brennan, 54, has been executive director since February 1998. She started at the plantation during a time of layoffs and budget cuts and stuck with it through the recession that followed the Sept. 11 attacks.

In November, the museum experienced its best attendance-revenue month.

Brennan has three reasons for leaving: she hopes to hold one more significant job in her career; she would like to visit her grandchild in Washington, D.C., more often; and Plimoth Plantation will be starting a major fund-raising effort next year. Brennan does not want to ...
