Destination: Turks and Caicos
The shaded courtyard garden was speckled with hibiscus. Beyond
this colorful, fragrant oasis, there was a deserted beach of soft
sand. An expanse of blue followed, as various hues from the water and
sky melded and merged. Daily, this combination of garden, beach and
horizon greeted my wife and me on a recent Caribbean vacation. We
were staying on Grace Bay, a stunning 12-mile beach on the island of
Providenciales (Provo) in the Turks and Caicos chain. Forgoing the
larger resorts, which are springing up all over an increasingly
developed Provo, we stayed at Sibonne Beach Hotel, an owner-operated
