ST. LOUIS - It's big, and it's round, and it's actually not an unattractive facility with the huge Gateway Arch a few blocks away.

As construction proceeds on its replacement next door, Busch Stadium, home of the St. Louis Cardinals, continues to earn praise from those who've run its baselines, thrown from its mound and chased down fly balls in the seemingly cavernous outfield.

"There are no quirks here," said Sox manager Terry Francona on the eve of Game 3 of the World Series, which has shifted from quaint old Fenway Park. "It's a great atmosphere."
