Marshfield town meeting will vote on a $63.4 million operating budget for the coming fiscal year.

The proposed budget is $1.6 million, or roughly 2.5 percent, larger than the budget for fiscal 2005, which ends June 30.

Officials unveiled the budget plan last night along with the rest of the articles voters will consider at town meeting April 25. The advisory board and the selectmen held a joint hearing on all of the items voters will consider.

The $1.6 million figure represents a relative slowdown in budget growth. Over the last five years, the town's budget has grown
