race.)
1. Start slowly Don't let the downhill start fool you into running
too fast. Most runners think they are having an amazing day when they
are cruising through the first 16 miles, which are mostly downhill.
But, since miles 16 through 21 are mostly uphill, this false sense of
being "on" is soon replaced with the scary realization that those
last few miles are going to feel like a hundred.
