Whether cascading from a balcony or dressing up a salad, bright
orange nasturtiums impress. What's more, the blossoms are tasty,
especially when candied or steeped to flavor a syrup.
They're in their glory now through Easter, and The Gardner Caf at
the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is featuring edible flowers to
accompany the museum's courtyard floral exhibit "Hanging
Nasturtiums."
"The hanging nasturtiums were the inspiration to create the Edible
Nasturtiums' menu," said Chef Peter Crowley of Quincy, who also owns
