Cheesecake is once again on the planning board's menu.

The Cheesecake Factory restaurant chain will be back before planning officials this week, looking for permission to build an 11,000-square-foot restaurant at South Shore Plaza.

A public hearing is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at town hall. The board last fall rejected a Cheesecake Factory plan based on traffic and parking concerns, but have agreed to rehear plans to settle an appeal filed by lawyers for the restaurant in Superior Court.Famous for offering more than three dozen varieties of cheesecake, the 383-seat restaurant would be built as an expansion to the mall in a corner between the new Macy's ...
