BOSTON - Willie Mo Pena actually had a pretty smooth night at wind-
whipped Fenway Park, but there was no sense in the Red Sox outfielder
claiming he'd taken the head-to-head battle from Boston's opponent.
That's because the card for the main event - the one between the
past and future kings of center field - was incomplete.
Coco Crisp will face Johnny Damon soon, though - almost surely the
next time Damon (0-for-4 last night) and his New York Yankees visit
Fenway May 22-24.
"It's going well," Crisp said last night of the fractured left
index finger that has kept him on the disabled list since April 11.
