Article: Building committee isn't giving up on site for senior center

If the frog eggs cannot be moved, maybe the building can.

During its second meeting since learning of the existence of a vernal pool on the location for Kingston's proposed senior center, the building committee last night decided to stick with the chosen site, which is on Evergreen Street.

It voted unanimously to ask architect John Catlin to see if the 10,000-square-foot building can be made to fit on the site without affecting the vernal pool.

Catlin also will be asked to look into the possibility of creating access to six adjacent acres controlled by the committee.
