SOUTH SHORE Secrets
Drive along Washington Street in Duxbury and you'll be transfixed
by historic homes and fantastic bay views. Whatever you do, don't
blink. You could miss one of the most charming village squares in the
area, Snug Harbor.
Sailboats track across the horizon and dinghies rock lazily on the
water, which laps softly on shoreline rocks. The scents of saltwater
and fresh fried fish mingle in the air as the sun warms your
shoulders.
This is summer, all wrapped up in one quaint package.
The village of Snug Harbor amounts to no more than a couple of
hundred yards on the bay side of the street. Its unassuming
collection of shops and restaurants hides in plain view.
