Sister Marilyn A. Locke
DEDHAM - Sister Marilyn A. Locke, 61, of Dedham, a sister in
Little Sisters of the Holy Family, died Wednesday at her brother's
Dedham home after a bout with ovarian Cancer.
She worked at Boston Gas Company for a year before deciding to
enter religious life. Her major assignments included the Oblate
Infirmary in Tewksbury, the Apostolic Delegation in Washington, D.C.,
the residence of the Archbishop of San Francisco and St. Patrick's
Seminary in Melno Park, Calif.
She spent 34 years in the sisterhood, taking a leave of absence in
the late 1980s to help care for her parents. She returned to full
secular life in 1988.
