If you can't remember how long ago you bought your refrigerator,
it might be time to consider replacing it. Refrigerators are becoming
more and more energy- and cost-efficient. Right now, the most popular
models are fridges with two doors that swing open in opposite
directions similar to French doors, said Joe Palumbo, owner of
Hancock TV & Appliance in Quincy. The two smaller doors reduce the
amount of space a single, larger door would encompass.
"A lot of the time in a kitchen, there's not enough room for a big
door that swings out," Palumbo said.
