Article: Braintree man denies he knew car was in shooting Tow truck driver pleads innocent to accessory charge

DEDHAM - A Braintree man pleaded innocent yesterday in Norfolk Superior Court to allegedly towing a car he knew had been used in a Braintree shooting.

A grand jury last month indicted Richard Bottiglieri, 47, on a charge of being an accessory after the fact of attempted murder.

Luis Ortiz, 25, of Dorchester, is facing charges of armed assault with intent to murder and carrying a firearm without a license in connection with the case. Ortiz, who also was indicted, is to be arraigned March 1.

Braintree police alleged Ortiz fired more than a half-dozen shots into another car on Blossom Road in the Granite Park area near South Shore Plaza on Nov. 7, 2006.
