HANOVER - Susan Elizabeth (Cullum) McKeon, 60, of Hanover, an
advocate for special needs students in Quincy, died Friday of
cancer.
Mrs. McKeon was a founder of the Quill Adult Special Needs program
and led advocacy efforts for special needs students in Quincy for 20
years.
In 2002, the Quincy School Committee gave Mrs. McKeon a Friend of
Education citation. It was the first time the award went to a parent.
"She was the angel that came into our family, and we'll never be
able to thank her enough," parent Marian MacKenzie told The Patriot
