Article: Susan McKeon of Hanover, advocate for Quincy's special needs students

HANOVER - Susan Elizabeth (Cullum) McKeon, 60, of Hanover, an advocate for special needs students in Quincy, died Friday of cancer.

Mrs. McKeon was a founder of the Quill Adult Special Needs program and led advocacy efforts for special needs students in Quincy for 20 years.

In 2002, the Quincy School Committee gave Mrs. McKeon a Friend of Education citation. It was the first time the award went to a parent.
