If you want to lose weight, don't fool yourself; it's all about calories. While exercise is helpful to burn more calories, the amount you'll work off is small compared to how much you can scarf down.

Exercise is important, but it's best to think of it as providing overall health benefits, and as a way to maintain a healthy body weight. To lose weight you do need to exercise, but the biggest factor, dare I write it again, is your intake of calories.
