BOSTON - Eric Gagne once saved 55 games in one season for the L.A. Dodgers.

He once saved 84 games in a row. When he stepped onto the mound at Fenway Park for only the fourth time in his career Thursday, he suddenly got hit with a case of the shakes.

"It's just good to get the first one out of the way," said the newly acquired Red Sox reliever, who threw the ninth inning of a 7-4 win over the Baltimore Orioles.

"I was a little nervous. I had butterflies, but it was fun."
