Joe Kennedy is talking about himself and simultaneously wondering
whether he should be talking about himself. He sits at the far head
of the long Queen Anne table in his dining room in Boston, wearing
knock-around slacks and an old turquoise golf shirt. Joe's twin sons,
Joey and Matt, are in the living room, which opens to their dad's
straight line of vision through large French doors that are left wide
apart to accommodate the gigantic love seat that Joe and the boys
picked out for watching TV together. They are playing what 12-year-
old boys play, Super Nintendo, on the Mitsubishi big-screen.
Once in a while, Joey, who has bright red hair and Irish skin,
wanders into the dining room, ...
