In the first quarter last Friday against Langley, Stone Bridge
senior running back Mike Stancik juked left, slipped a tackle and
tore down the left sideline for a 43-yard touchdown. The run
showcased a speedy, elusive and powerful back, but it also must have
left Langley coaches scrambling to figure out who Stancik was.
Up until the Langley game, he had not carried the ball this
season. But he finished with 69 yards on eight carries in the
Bulldogs' 42-14 win, adding yet another threat to a punishing Stone
Bridge rushing attack that finished with 461 yards against the
Saxons.
