Article: Clark earned millions consulting, records show Military experience led to private-sector wealth

In the first two-and-a-half years of his post-military life, retired general Wesley Clark has earned $2.8 million, much of it telling private companies how to design or market their goods for the military, according to financial records he released yesterday.

In one case, Clark earned at least $90,000 from one company that performs background checks on airline passengers. Clark lobbied his former defense colleagues and staffers for President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney on behalf of the company, Acxiom Corp.
