ow good are the Patriots? Good enough to be 6-point favorites in
Vegas.
But if you'll believe those of us at the Monitor sports desk, that
number is a tad low. This New England team should win by a pair of
touchdowns.
Why? Read on.
Here's how I see Super Bowl XXXVIII.
I see the Carolina Panthers looking to establish a ground game to
take pressure off inexperienced quarterback Jake Delhomme and make
him more effective. I see the Panthers trying to run the ball with
Stephen Davis, who gained 1,444 yards this season and averaged 4.5
yards per carry.
I see Patriots tackle Ted Washington and end Richard Seymour
stuffing the run, forcing the Panthers to move outside with backup
tailback DeShaun ...
